Elevate your NMR spectroscopy with CIL’s deuterated solvents!
We will be showcasing the benefits and fun facts of these products through CIL Solvent Spotlights, starting today with the highly pure and sought after….. Chloroform-d!!!
Deuterated chloroform (CDCl3) is an excellent every day solvent choice for scientists who demand exceptional results! Commonly used as a solvent in Proton NMR (1H NMR) spectroscopy, chloroform-d can dissolve a vast array of compounds with ease due to its weak polarity. It is often used in combination with methanol-d as a co-solvent. Plus, its low boiling point makes it relatively easy to recover a sample post-NMR analysis or during organic syntheses. Sound like the perfect solvent? One little word of advice: check your lab’s current stockpile, as its shelf life is only 6 months!
CIL has got you covered with our extensive selection of chloroform-d
Choose from two enrichment levels – 99.8% (DLM-7) or 99.96% (DLM-29) – and find the perfect fit for your research needs. Opt for a standalone solvent, or choose from options containing tetramethylsilane (TMS) for chemical shift referencing and/or silver foil for radical-scavenging and enhanced stability.
